Description

This 4-ingredient banana bread is a nostalgic, simple, and foolproof recipe that delivers a moist, delicious loaf every time. Made with ripe bananas, eggs, sugar, and flour, it’s perfect for busy mornings, quick snacks, or a comforting homemade treat.

  • 3 medium overripe bananas (about 1 ½ cups, mashed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (or gluten-free alternative)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (or substitute with brown sugar, honey, or coconut sugar)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 8.5 x 4.5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth. A few small lumps are fine.
  3. Add the eggs and whisk until well combined.
  4. Stir in the sugar and mix until dissolved.
  5. Gradually add the flour, stirring just until combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Slice and enjoy!

  • The riper the bananas, the sweeter the bread!
  • For a crunch, add ½ cup of chopped walnuts or pecans.
