- 1 pound ground sausage (chicken or turkey works too)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup baking mix
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin or use paper liners.
- Cook the Sausage – Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease and let cool slightly.
- Mix Dry Ingredients – In a large bowl, whisk together the baking mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Whisk Eggs & Milk – In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and milk until well combined.
- Combine Everything – Add the sausage and cheese to the dry ingredients. Pour in the egg mixture and stir until evenly mixed.
- Fill Muffin Cups – Divide batter evenly among muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
- Bake – Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
- Cool & Serve – Let muffins cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, mix in diced bell peppers, mushrooms, or jalapeños.
- If using turkey or chicken sausage, make sure to drain it well.
- Muffins can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
